If you are planning any type of event and are expecting children, one of the things that may have popped into your mind was how and where you could find a jumping castle to rent. Whether it be for a birthday party, barbeque, work party, or family reunion, jumping houses rentals have turned into big business. Thus it’s important to find an honest and reliable business.
These days, ads are everywhere: Newspapers, Craigslist, flyers, business cards, even advertisements on cars. But none of the advertisements let you know how honest and reputable the company is. So we prefer good old fashioned word of mouth when deciding on a company. I’ve asked other mothers which company they’ve used. I’ve tried to recall company parties in which we’ve had rentals and asked for the vendor we’ve used. And if you can’t find a name from someone you know, you can always check online. Research companies on Angieslist, a site where other consumers leave their review of companies. Check out the businesses reputation with the Better Business Bureau. And lastly and most importantly, ask the rental company for recommendations. Ask them for clients who have used their services in the past, and then follow through and call those individuals.
Once you have found a company to rent from, be sure to get a contract in writing. Be sure the contract specifies what time the rental will be delivered and picked up, who will set it up, how it will be set up and where it will be set up. It needs to include the agreed upon rental rate, any additional fees if the party is running late or any possible discounts if the delivery or pickup is more than 30 minutes late. Also thouroughly read over any liability you may incur if any damage is done to the rental and be sure your contract has an emergency contact incase there are any problems with the unit while you are using it, or weather problems that would need the house to come down right away.
But the most important part of the jumping castle rental comes when the children are playing in it. When you see their smiling, happy faces and hear them giggling with delight, you will know that you did a great job and made the right choices.
